Hotel Block Full For Washington D.C. Fly-in, Alternatives Offered – The State Chamber’s hotel room block at the Hilton Garden Inn in Washington, D.C., for the 2008 Fly-in is full.  Registration packets that were mailed this week listed the Hilton Garden Inn, but that is no longer an option.  Registration is still open, and we encourage State Chamber members to participate in the Fly-in.   However, we offer the following alternatives for those still seeking hotel accommodations:  Homewood Suites by Hilton® Washington,1475 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Phone:  1/202-265-8000; Capital Hilton, 1001 16th Street NW, Phone:  1/202-393-1000; Doubletree Hotel at Thomas Circle, 1515 Rhode Island Avenue NW, Phone:  1/202-232-7000.

Small Business Premium Assistance Program Gets Upgrade

Oklahoma's premium assistance program, designed for businesses with fifty or fewer employees (formerly known as the Oklahoma Employer/Employee Partnership for Insurance Coverage or O-EPIC) is now called Insure Oklahoma. Also announced is that effective November 1st, the qualifying salary guidelines utilized for the program will increase from 185% of the federal poverty level (FPL) to 200% of the FPL. Small businesses can receive sixty percent of their health insurance premiums for qualified employees reimbursed by the state.
