Disaster can strike quickly and often without warning. It can force you to evacuate your neighborhood, confine you to your home...or even close your business. What would you do if basic services -- water, gas, electricity or telephones -- were cut off? The best way to make your business, family and home safer is to be prepared before disaster strikes.

The Boy Scout motto is not just for kids...Are You Prepared? - Most small businesses have insurance plans, marketing plans and/or business plans that guide their organization. but, does your business have a disaster recovery plan (Continuity of Operations plan)? 40 percent of U.S. small businesses are not prepared for disasters but yet they happen...whether they are natural such as fire, ice, tornados or from workplace violence, accidents or health related issues.

In a major disaster, it might be several days before vital services are restored. Oklahomans are exposed to a wide variety of hazards, both natural and man-made. Tornados, fires, ice and wind storms, power outages, pandemics and acts of terrorism are just some of the potential emergencies we may encounter.

Imagine that your business has no electricity, no gas, no water and no telephone service. Imagine that your customers and/or vendors are closed...or that your workers can't get to work. What will you do? Click on the links above to find out how you can prepare yourself and your business for a disaster.
