Fred Morgan Fred Morgan

Bio Information

Fred Morgan has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the State Chamber of Oklahoma since 2010. Prior to joining the Chamber, Fred worked for the Oklahoma Senate President Pro Tempore and in 2006 helped broker an historic power-sharing agreement between the Republicans and Democrats, who were tied 24-24. He subsequently served as General Counsel and Senior Policy Advisor to the first Republican-led Senate in state history in 2008.

In 1994, he was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Fred served in the House until 2006, rising through the ranks to become Minority Leader and chairman of the Judiciary Committee. He was consistently recognized as one of the most pro-business legislators during his service.

He has also managed a commercial law firm in Oklahoma City and served as the president of a small business, employing 40 people.

Fred has served as president of the Oklahoma City Rotary Club and is a graduate of both Leadership Oklahoma City and Leadership Oklahoma. He currently serves on the board of the Oklahoma Business Roundtable, i2E and Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives. He is also a member of the U.S. Chamber's Committee of 100.

Bio Information

Jennifer joined the State Chamber in 2014 as Vice President of Government Affairs lobbying in the areas of health care, education and workforce development.  Prior to joining the State Chamber, Jennifer worked in private consulting serving clients in the health, energy and education fields.  Jennifer also worked for nearly a decade as Legislative Analyst for the Oklahoma State Senate, staffing the Health and Human Services, Tourism and Wildlife, and Veterans and Military Affairs Committees.  Jennifer also currently serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Oklahoma where she teaches a graduate level course on health policy.

Jonathan D. Buxton

Bio Information

Jonathan joined the State Chamber in 2012 after serving as Research and Policy Analyst for the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives. He is a 2009 graduate of Oklahoma City University School of Law and a member of the Oklahoma Bar. Prior to the House, Jonathan worked in political campaigns, healthcare and criminal justice. He also has a Master's in Criminal Justice Administration and an undergraduate degree in Psychology.

Mike joined the State Chamber in 2014 after serving ten years in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Jackson served the last two years as the Speaker Pro Tempore of the House and served on all committees. He helped with the development of rules, presided over many of the sessions and passed many bills that were good for business.  Prior to serving in the Legislature, Jackson served as Northwest Field Representative for U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe and was the Public Information officer for the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture.

Bio Information

Mike's background is well grounded in the industrial and manufacturing base of Oklahoma. First as a loss-control consultant, and then working in manufacturing for fifteen years, Mike worked his way up the corporate ladder until he became Vice President of Operations for a foreign-based manufacturing company. Mike joined the State Chamber in 1992 as the Director for the Manufacturers' Department, became Senior Vice President of Operations in 2001 and Senior Vice President of Policy Analysis & Strategic Planning in 2010. Mike's areas of expertise are workers' compensation, unemployment compensation, labor law, tort reform and research.
