OBJECTIVES

• Strengthen Oklahoma's chambers of commerce through a comprehensive program designed to improve all areas of chamber management, including program development as well as volunteer, staff and financial management.
• Provide resources to local chambers of commerce for planning retreats, leadership training and additional services as needed.  Maintain an online resource library that can be utilized by local chamber professionals through the OCCE website.
• Promote professional development among Oklahoma's chambers of commerce through programs such as the Center for Chamber of Commerce Excellence, the Chamber Management Institute and other state, regional and nation-wide programs.
• Encourage the achievement of professional designations among chamber and economic development professionals such as Certified Chamber Managers (CCM), Certified Chamber Executives (CCE), Certified Association Executives (CAE) and/or Certified Economic Developer (CEcD).
