OBJECTIVES

• Provide staff management support and resources for the Oklahoma Professional Economic Development Council (OEDC) www.oedc.net and the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives (OCCE) www.occe.com.  Utilize these two organizations as communications tools to assist The State Chamber with pro-jobs legislation and voter education and awareness.
• Organize government affairs committees and other legislative advocacy programs at local chambers of commerce and economic development organizations utilizing available resources.
• Develop and implement programs through local chambers, economic development organizations, trade associations and other federation partners that provide business and community leaders direct input into the legislative process in order to advocate for economic development and business objectives.
• Work through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in efforts to lead more Oklahoma chambers of commerce through the accreditation process.
• Promote collaboration and communication throughout the chamber and grassroots federation, including workforce development groups, by producing the 2009 Summit on Economic and Workforce Development.
• Train local chamber and economic development volunteer leaders by co-producing a Volunteer Leaders Workshop in conjuction with the OCCE Annual Meeting.
