The State Chamber's Government Affairs Division is comprised of more than 20 business-issue committees, councils and task forces which serve the Education and Workforce Development Department, Manufacturers & International Department, Small Business Council, Retail Council and Technology Council, all under the overall direction of the senior vice president for government affairs.  A volunteer chairman and a staff director head each of these.  The Legislative Affairs Committee is composed of the chair of each committee, council and task force, plus corporate and contract lobbyists and directors of trade associations from across the state.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Develop and coordinate state and federal legislative strategies that will create jobs, business opportunities and wealth for Oklahomans.
  • Oppose legislation, rules, regulations and policies at all levels of government that would negatively impact the Oklahoma business community.
