Governor Kevin Stitt Gives Businesses Flexibility
In a video message to Oklahomans, Gov. Stitt expressed opposition to the federal government’s mandate on businesses with 100+ employees requiring their employees be vaccinated (or tested frequently if opting out of the vaccine). In his message, Gov. Stitt assured Oklahomans his administration would not only fight the federal overreach, but he would also remain committed to giving Oklahoma businesses the flexibility to choose whether to require the vaccine.
The State Chamber supports the governor’s assessment that mandates are bad for business and released a statement reminding all elected officials mandates in either direction, whether forcing a business to require a vaccine or limiting the ability of a business to require a vaccine, is not the right direction for Oklahoma.
