The State Chamber and its members applauded a state budget agreement which will further Oklahoma's economic recovery.
"This budget agreement is the cherry on top of Oklahoma's epic response and bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic," said Chad Warmington, president and CEO of The State Chamber. "From the outset, Oklahoma's leaders made clear their goal was to make smart, data-driven decisions that factored in the impact to business at every turn."
"Leaders in this state didn't place unnecessary burdens on business. And they made reopening our economy as fast and safely as possible a top priority," Warmington said. "As we look at other states grappling with the effects of the pandemic, we are proud of our Legislature and governor for keeping Oklahoma open and delivering permanent tax relief for individuals and businesses to spur our economic recovery even further."
"Oklahoma's recovery isn't comparable to any other states, and where we are today proves we are a top state for business. Kudos to Governor Stitt, Speaker Charles McCall and President Pro Tem Greg Treat for delivering," he said. "Oklahoma is and always will be open for business."
