The State Chamber has unveiled its newly formed Council of Advisors to sit at the top of the organization's policy development process. The select, invite-only Council will establish The State Chamber's annual agenda that will focus on making Oklahoma the best place to live, work and grow a business.
Bill Schonacher, President and CEO of IBC Bank - Oklahoma, will chair the Council of Advisors during its inaugural year.
The State Chamber's annual policy development process will begin with a poll of business leaders in order to identify the most significant barriers for business growth in Oklahoma followed by research of solutions to the identified barriers. This will be coupled with a competitiveness index to measure key economic indicators to identify the most significant barriers for business growth in Oklahoma.
Using this information along with input and feedback from member policy committees, the Council of Advisors will set The State Chamber's annual legislative agenda.
The Council of Advisors is just one of the latest changes implemented at The State Chamber to make the voice of business heard in the legislative, regulatory and judicial arenas.
