On March 28, 2019, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia struck down the provisions of the U.S. Department of Labor’s (U.S. DOL) final rule that expanded the variety of associations that may offer association health plans (AHPs). The U.S. DOL final rule on AHPs is what allowed the Oklahoma Chamber Blue Association Health Plan to form.
Due to this decision and additional feedback from the U.S. DOL, the Oklahoma Chamber Blue Association Health Plan is temporarily suspending quoting operations for new enrollment at this time.
If you are currently enrolled in an Oklahoma Chamber Blue plan, this will not impact your coverage. If you are not enrolled but are looking for coverage, unfortunately, we are unable to offer coverage to new groups at this time. If you have questions, please email email@example.com or call 405-235-3669.
The State Chamber of Oklahoma is pleased to partner with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma to offer its small business members more flexibility and options for group health coverage through an association health plan called Oklahoma Chamber Blue.
The Oklahoma Chamber Blue program is available to State Chamber members with 2-50 employees in all 77 counties or through participating Small Business Chamber Alliance partners.
